Sunny is a beautiful, smart and sensitive girl who truly blossoms once she trusts you. She does best with patience, consistency, and someone willing to take the time to build a relationship with her.
She is becoming more comfortable under saddle with proper saddle fit and may be suited for light trail riding with an experienced rider. We are also exploring having a professional trainer work with Sunny on driving and learning to pull a cart giving her another fun opportunity to discover life beyond the racetrack.
Sunny does have a history of Lyme disease and arthritis in her hocks, which are being managed with veterinary care. Her comfort has improved with treatment, and continued care will be important in her new home.
After nine years of racing, Sunny deserves a chance to enjoy a new chapter—one filled with trust, companionship, learning, and simply being a horse.
