I spent my earlier years on a Welsh Cob breeding farm where I had fancy Welsh Cobb babies. I was a very good mother and at NEER I like to babysit new horses. I was once adopted to a loving home to enjoy trail riding but, my owner became very ill – thank goodness my NEER family took me back! I have carried my riders through the trails and pastures with ease over the years and still enjoy an occasional trail ride but now sometimes my feet are sore from founder with rotation. I cannot have sugar – my vet tells me I am insulin resistant, much like diabetes. I cannot graze like other horses and I have to be on a perpetual diet – a girl’s worst nightmare! I am currently a long time resident at NEER and I do get cranky when I’m not feeling my best. I am well loved and cared for at NEER, but I feel badly that my health issues prevent me from finding a forever home. I would love to find my “Animal Angel” who can understand what I go through and who can identify with my plight. Are you my Kindred Spirit or do you know someone who is?
