● Buster has a history of bucking under saddle
● Buster lunges WTC – he has a nice, forward trot
● Buster loves hanging out with his herd mates – he is a bit insecure outside of his paddock, but has been improving everyday
● Can be a little fussy/pushy when he in uncertain/anxious
● VERY responsive with lateral groundwork exercises – yielding the hind end, back ups, head down etc
Initially Buster had a hard time taking any forward steps (felt ‘stuck’) undersaddle, but now is moving off of leg nicely. Buster has been working with our trainer for a few months now – he goes WT undersaddle, goes over poles/cavalettis and hacks out in the field. Buster does have some anxiety that we are working on getting to the bottom of. His anxiety leads to tension and the tension can lead to him crow hopping if not addressed. Our trainer is working on the basics with him, as well as posture training to build his topline and core strength. At this time, he is available as the sweetest companion, or to an experienced rider that is willing to take the time and patience with him that he needs. He shows great potential for being an undersaddle horse with all the buttons, it may just take time and patience until his full potential shows. He will continue his training here at NEER North, check back for updates!
