Opie is an 11-year-old gorgeous dark bay roan Thoroughbred gelding. He first came to us at five years old, incredibly emaciated and in very poor condition. With time and care, he made a wonderful recovery and went on to spend six happy, loved years in a great home. Unfortunately, circumstances changed and Opie has now returned to us.
Opie has excellent ground manners and has attended several groundwork clinics over the years. He has not had much time under saddle so once he has settled back in, our trainers will begin working with him.
He is currently turned out with two other geldings and is doing well. He appears to be the low man in the herd but is getting along nicely.
Opie is extremely sweet, sensitive, and easy to handle. He will need an experienced horse person/trainer to continue his education and bring him along under saddle.
He is barefoot, up-to-date on vaccinations, and is good for both the vet and farrier.
Stay tuned for updates on Opie as he settles in and begins his next chapter!
