April is a 16-year-old Mustang cross, standing 14.2 hands and has a beautiful dark bay coat. She has been with us for several years, and we are still hoping to find the right person for her.
April could possibly do liberty or be a companion. She has the potential to be a light riding horse but needs an experienced, patient person to continue to bring her long and build confidence with her.
Our trainers have been working with her on basic groundwork and have re-introduced her to riding. She can be nervous at times, but once she has your attention and knows what is being asked of her, she settles in and does well.
April gets along well with other horses but can become attached to her companions, so she would do best in a home with two or more horses.
She is insulin resistant and cannot have access to grass, so her diet will need to be carefully managed.
April is a very sweet mare who loves to be groomed and seeks attention. She is good for the vet and farrier and she is barefoot.
She has plenty to offer the right person, and we would really love to see her finally find her person.
