Amy is a 16yo OTTB mare that returned to us in spring of 2024, due to no fault of her own. She is sweet, and loves bananas! She has good ground manners, and lunges nicely. She is currently being brought back under saddle slowly after some time off, and is progressing well in our training and rehabilitation program. Amy requires front shoes, due to her having a mild rotation in her coffin bone in her left front leg. She does have an old racing injury in that fetlock as well, causing a decrease in range of motion.
She is closely monitored here at NEER North, and has not had any relapses since her initial episode. Amy is currently available as a companion, however our hope for Amy is to be a light riding horse with more rehabilitation and training. Available to a good that home that will continue with her rehab and training.
Please note potential adopters with pre-approved applications on file will get priority on new horses – we strongly recommend you fill out an application to get pre-approved.
