ADOPTED
Fiona just arrived at NEER and has quickly become a farm favorite! She was previously a school horse, and is now looking for her own person to bond with. Fiona has done her time in the ring, and now prefers to explore the trails and hack around the farm. She ties, trailers, bathes, and stands to be groomed. Fiona wears front shoes, and is good for the farrier and vet. She is perfect off property, and is content leading or following on the trails.
Fiona does need a rider that is confident and consistent, while she figures out what you are asking of her. Once she does, she has four lovely gaits – walk, pace, trot and canter. Fiona prefers a rider that has soft hands. She is honest, and does try for her person. She is not overly spooky. We think with some decompression time she may be okay doing some ring work, but at this time she prefers the trails. She does not have any physical restrictions that we are aware of.
Please note potential adopters with pre-approved applications on file will get priority on new horses – we strongly recommend you fill out an application to get pre-approved.
