Almond Joy is a 20 + yr old gentle, one-eyed mini mare who has spent most of her life being adored by students at an agricultural school, where she was a beloved member of the program for many years. With her calm nature and kind heart, she helped teach countless kids about responsibility, patience, and love. Now retired from that chapter of her life, she’s looking for a new home where she can be cherished just as much as she was before.
Although she’s a bit older and managing Cushing’s (which is well-controlled), she still enjoys quiet time in the sun and peaceful company. She’s a touch overweight from being spoiled with love (and likely snacks!), but a healthy diet and some light management (daily medication) will help her feel her best.
She used to live happily with a miniature gelding and would thrive in a home where she could have a gentle companion again.
This sweet little lady doesn’t need much—just a safe space, kind people, and someone to see her golden years through with love and dignity. If you’ve got room in your heart and space at your farm, she’d make the sweetest addition to your family!
