Wand Work, affectionately known as Wanda, is a very sweet 6-year-old, 15.3 hh, bay Thoroughbred mare.
Wanda was unraced and was used as a broodmare producing just one filly. She was not able to become pregnant after several attempts so she was retired and surrendered to our rescue in hopes of finding her a loving home and a new chapter.
Wanda is very green in every way but she is one of the sweetest and most loving horses you will meet. She is very much an “in your pocket” kind of girl and absolutely loves attention. She has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite because of her friendly, affectionate personality.
Wanda will need an experienced horse person/trainer to help get her started and guide her through her next chapter.
She has a lot to learn, but she has a wonderful temperament and is ready to learn with the right person.
Please fill out an application to get pre-approved for adoption.
