Tony is a 14yo OTTB gelding who was surrendered to NEER in 2023. Tony was successful on the track, had 17 starts and won $84,580 during his racing career. He sold for $100,000 as a yearling back in 2011.
Tony has a big personality and needs an experienced, confident handler. Once he trusts you, he is a very sweet boy and loves being brushed, rolling in the arena, and hand grazing! Tony has made huge progress with us both physically and behaviorally. Tony is just slowly getting started back under saddle after a long rehabilitation period. We believe with more time and training he will make a wonderful low level pleasure or dressage horse for an OTTB experienced person.
Tony is UTD on everything, and is good for the farrier and vet. He crossties and bathes. He lives outside 24/7 with a run-in shed, and is housed next to another gelding – he really enjoys his social time!
