Rugar is an 2007 OTTB, JC: Wild Saint. He was KY bred, and raced 12 times, with total earnings of $43,300. He then found his next career as a Beginner Novice event horse and trained up to Novice 1. After that, Rugar was used as a lesson horse for intermediate students for several years.
Rugar was surrendered to us in the fall of 2023, and is waiting for his forever home. Rugar knows he is a red head and likes to add a bit of “spice” to our day to day! He stands on the crossties and is good to be brushed. He does well for the farrier and vet. He enjoys PEMF, hand walks and hanging out with his best friend, Tony. Rugar worked hard during his previous jobs, and is looking for a laid back lifestyle for his retirement years. Rugar would make an excellent companion at this time, but is in our training program to hopefully get him back under saddle to be a light riding horse. Stay tuned for updates!
