Henrietta is a 7 yr old standard donkey that had a bumpy start to life. We don’t know her whole story except that she was picked up from somewhere in Maine and passed around a few times. We do know that she is healthy, sweet, and gets along well with her donkey friends. Henrietta’s past experiences seem to have made it difficult for her to trust humans, but with our patient trainer, she is making steady progress.
She is safe now and has settled in quite well here at NEER North. She is living in a herd of miniature horses and mini donkeys and seems to be happy. She is still timid with the volunteers, she is slowly getting better. She has such a sweet kind face with gentle eyes. She will be a truly amazing donkey with so much love to give.
Henrietta has lived with sheep in the past so she is very comfortable with them. She deserves a safe and loving home where she can just be a donkey and not have to worry about being passed along. We are hoping that her next chapter is finally a forever one.
