Otis is a wonderful prospect for any discipline, English or western. He is very smart, a lovely mover, comfy, and of course exceedingly handsome! He needs his own person (confident intermediate plus, ideally working with a trainer) and a job. He is an easy keeper with great feet and stands nicely on cross-ties and is good for vet and farrier. He is a bit alpha with other horses, and will test his riders a bit but with the right partner easily works out of this and is a blast to ride and knows the basics walk-trot-canter, but is not for beginners or those without confidence to be a leader for him. He isn’t hot, but is sensitive and would like a rider with quiet hands. He came into us being quite girthy and not a big fan of being saddled, but has worked through this and is doing great with a properly fitting saddle. He’s definitely worth a look if you are the right rider looking for a rewarding project!
