Current assessment: Oak is in training. He is available to an experienced OTTB home.
Oak is friendly and playful and gets along well with most other horses. Oak is being reintroduced to under saddle work after a paddock injury and is hacking out nicely. We are focusing on building hind-end strength and overall fitness.
Oak is good all around, crossties well, and enjoys grooming and attention. He prefers to be the boss in the gelding paddock and loves to play with our other young OTTB and pony. He is a confident, playful, serviceably sound boy looking for a light riding home.
May 2023 Trainer Update: Oak is being brought back under saddle after having a year off from a previous injury. His rehab has included longlining, tack walking, pole work and light hill work. He is starting to feel so much stronger and has begun trotting under saddle! He has a great brain and is not spooky. He is the sweetest boy!
