Trainer Update:

Eli truly does love the trails! He moves right out and is fully engaged in the ride. Interesting about him: I was working with the little one and he got super fast, and then snaked his head a bit. I stopped immediately and checked everything, I found that the different pad I used made the saddle fit tighter on his withers, than typical. We stopped immediately and fixed the issue. I just think it was very sweet of him to express his discomfort without anything super naughty or dangerous. He is certainly VERY communicative which is really, really great! From Julie: “Eli is Awesome! But we all know that! He is solid, willing and takes care of his riders. He is sweet, and pleasant on the ground. An all around fantastic boy.”

This Solid Appaloosa Gelding, is sound and full of Character. Eli came to us due to owner hardship and has been recently tried under saddle at NEER for the first time in many months. Not recommended for beginners as he may try to test his rider with some antics but once he knows he can’t intimidate them he is a very nice ride! Our feeling is that once he is in regular work he will be no problem at all…he even hopped over a cross rail with enthusiasm! We feel a good, confident rider will love him. We are still evaluating him for vet and farrier but we don’t anticipate any issues. Eli is UTD on shots and Coggins and is ready for his new family!
